Starstruck on you!

"love that you are a geometric shape"
"love that you will cut through chipboard, fabric, felt, etc."
insert thought bubble..."sigh..just so many possibilities with you.."

insert some REALITY now!

Okay, okay, I know it's just a border die but honestly it's an awesome border die designed by Tim Holtz for Sizzix.  What I find special about this border die is the wide layer of stars that are cut out in one roll through.

Here a couple of ways that you can use this border die on your paper projects.

I have a gazillion glassine bags (so after this post I have a gazillion minus a few now, lol).  I cut the stars along the top of the bag and you could definitely use this as cool envelope on your project.  For something different I cut the bottom off so that the glassine bag becomes a sleeve which would look fantastic slipped over some pattern paper just for a little extra delicate layer.

For the card below I dry embossed the glassine bag, again just for little more texture in the layering. Here's a close-up of the card:

The pattern papers are Echo Park For The Record 2 collection:

Grab an envelope, seal it first and then roll it through the star border die to create a fun edge along the top of your envelope which you can use as a journaling pocket on your scrapbook page.

This scrapbook page records a history project that Anna created last school year.  She was so proud of it, it was displayed in our living room from last Winter to this Spring.  Then it got moved to the basement for the Summer-Fall.  So now that it has almost been a full year we decided it was time to let it go but she will have a fond memory of her project with this scrapbook layout.

Papers on this layout are also Echo Park For the Record 2 collection.

I hope you are inspired to give border dies a try and maybe I did a wee bit of enabling, tee hee.

Have a wonderful week!
