2014 Greetings!

Hi!  Happy New Year to all (a couple of weeks late, sorry...)

Hope everyone survived the deep freeze last week, it's only minus 4 these past few days and I feel like it's summertime, LOL.

Here is a celebration card I made with Simple Stories 24/7, Say Cheese and the Tim Holtz star border die.  I love the effect of the stars folded down for extra dimension and lets you see both sides of the pattern paper.  Here's a quick technique you can use for any border die you own, have fun!

Take a 6.5 x 8 inch double-sided pattern paper and fold in half so that you have a card 6.5 x 4 inches.Place the top edge of the card on the border die making sure the width is positioned within the length of the die.

After you have cut through both layers of the paper, fold the top layer down on a diagonal.  Trim the pocket tag to 6 inches high or to your desired height.
You have just made the base of your pocket tag and you are ready to tuck cute embellishments into the pocket and decorate the outside.
You can use the tag for a card front, a journaling element on your scrapbook page, or slip it into a pocket if you used divided pocket page protectors, enjoy!
