CardMaps 4!!

Huge wave to everyone I met this past weekend at the Creativ show!  It was a buzzing and I was tickled pink to be a part of it teaching a couple of classes at Scrapbook and Cards Today's inter-active creative booth!

CardMaps 4 is fresh off the press and available today!  You can find it at your LSS or can purchase it on-line here.  I was lucky enough to take a quick browse through it at the Creativ show.  The first thing I noticed was how HUGE this issue is, actually 24 pages more! wow that's a whole latta card card sketches and inspiration packed into this issue.

I have a few cards in CardMaps4- thank you Becky Fleck for your awesome card sketches!

Toronto Spring Creativ Festival

Chirp chirp...tweet tweet...quack quack...ah the sweet sounds of Spring.  Even with the light snowfall yesterday I am seeing (my tulips) and hearing (the ducks are back in my pool) signs of Spring. Sweet!

I am super excited for the Toronto Spring Creativ Festival next weekend at the Toronto International Centre.  I'll be teaching a couple of mini classes at the Scrapbook and Cards Today booth next Friday April 25th, hope you can drop by and say hello!

I am teaching a double page layouts class where we will use pretty papers, trims and a little bling to surround the photos you love and cherish.  The second is a card class where we will make some pretty cards and create a cute little box from scratch to hold them.

An amazing time at Scrapfest Kitchener!

A huge wave and shout out to everyone that came out to Scrapfest Kitchener!  I was lucky enough to be teaching in the viewing lounge which had a bird's eye view of both the cropping are and the market place. Pretty cool to see one arena filled with busy vendors setting up their mini stores, doing mak'n takes, demos etc. and then turn around to see another huge arena lined with cropping tables with lots of scrapbookers getting creative!

Huge hugs and thanks to all who joined me in my classes.  All you gals rocked the classes and I hope you had fun picking up a few ideas and inspiration along the way.  Please let me know if you would like the pdf files for the class images, my email was included in the set of your class instructions.
Thank you Myra (plus a few others...you know who you are!) for being my indispensable TA all weekend long!

Disney Layouts using Simple Stories.
It was an awesome treat for Kelly Panacci (and Mario!) to drop by my Craft Fusion workshop.  We loved working with Kelly's beautiful Eclectic products in this class and it was amazing to hear how she started designing this collection, her inspiration and the design process of her art getting manufactured by K&Company.

Thanks Kelly Panacci!
Lastly, thank you to Lisa Furtney and her wonderful team for another success Scrapfest Kitchener!

Winnipeg Crop and Create wrap-up

Just came back Winnipeg, fantastic meeting some lovely creative gals at Crop and Create Winnipeg!
Thank you to all who came to my classes and a huge thank you to amazing sponsors Be Creative and Glitter Ritz for your  wonderful products, after the Glitter-licious card class, we were a little sparkly and glittery all weekend long!

For my make and take we coloured glitter and I just wanted to share that here today.

All you need is some double-sided Be Creative tape, Glitter Ritz microfine transparent glitter, outline stickers and some Copic markers.
Apply the tape to white card stock, peel away the tape liner to expose the sticky surface, pour glitter over the tape, brush away the excess with a brush and burnish (rub) the glitter onto the tape with your fingers.
Using tweezers grab an outline sticker and adhere it on top of the glittered surface.

Use the brush end of your Copic marker, lightly brush the colour over the glitter, you do not need to over blend or colour because the alcohol from the marker will begin to remove the adhesive under the glitter.

Just think back to grade school when we could sit for hours on end just colouring with crayons, it is as relaxing and easy as that!

After you have finished colouring just trim out the bird and use on your card or scrapbook page!

Thank you to My Minds Eye for sponsoring my Delightful Double Pages class, you Winnipeg gals rocked it! Thank you Sherri Funk for being my awesome TA- you were amazing!

Have a wonderful day!
