Doodlebug- So Punny collection

Raise your hand if you love 6x6 paper pads! Me me me! I love the smaller sized 6x6 papers and Doodlebug's 6x6 paper pads are double sided- woot woot- double the fun! Not limited to just making cards, you can most definitely use the smaller scaled 6x6 papers on your scrapbook pages.

On my layout I used only 6x6 pattern papers.  You might notice that the pattern paper strips appear to be longer than 6 inches?  Shh...only you know the patterns are not that long and the breaks are hidden behind the photo mat for an appearance of a longer strip.

In this collection are some adorable shape sprinkles, check out the little soy sauce container and sushi roll, so adorable!

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to come back for more awesome projects by the team!

Close to My Heart- Love Letter kit

I received a lovely surprise package from Close to My Heart.  For National Paper Crafting month they are celebrating it with some beautiful Love Letter kits!

Here's my pretty 'V' kit.  Swooning over all the flowers and gold-foil accents! There are three sheets of various die cut flowers, banners, gold foil leaves and a cursive alphabet sticker sheet, delicious!

The kit comes with assembly instructions and colour photos. An inspiration guide on how to decorate the monogram letters.

I put my 'V' together and with a few flower blooms and I placed an inspirational verse on the one side.  So easy and quick to put my monogram letter together!  Note, one of the die cut flower designs is a green succulent which I chose just to use the pieces as leaves under the flower blooms.

So many extras in your letter kit, just imagine these pretty blooms on your pages and cards and there is still a good amount of gold letters to use up!

Use the pretty negative die-cuts too, just back them with vellum, trim them out with scissors and your bounty of blooms have just doubled, woo hoo!!

These Lovely Letters are available for purchase from your Close to My Heart consultant, please check their website for one nearest you! Have fun personalizing your monogram!

Happy 2018!

2018 Greetings! hope you had a wonderful holiday season spending it with the ones you love.  Here in Ontario, Canada we are having one of our coldest Winters in a long time so I can't think of a better time than to stay indoors and do a little scrapbooking!   Do you remember the delicious Cream & Sugar collection? It oozes of cuteness with little sweet pastries, smiling sugar cubes and frosty beverages.  I took the beautiful teal and pink papers from this line to create a page about Christmas morning and a special delivery from Santa.

To create the base page I joined two patterned papers together, when I do this I always like to add a border on the seam where the two patterns meet.  The 12-inch border stickers on the 'this and that' sticker sheet are perfect for this application.

Although the Cream & Sugar is not specially a Winter line, I punched out snow-flakes from pretty blue paper and created a visual element that instantly shouts 'Winter'.

The sweet shoppe house die-cut found in the Odds & Ends package was about the same scale as the doll-house in the photo and I thought it was a cute way to emphasize the doll-house theme.

Have a wonderful crafty day!
