February- Love is in the Air

Hope you are enjoying all the fabulous French Kiss creations this month. For the project I'm sharing today I went 'all in' with the Paris love theme. This page shows my sweet friend, Catherine and her handsome hubby, sharing a beautiful moment in front of the Eiffel tower celebrating their 25th Anniversary!

A memorable photo capture with the iconic Eiffel tower in the backdrop calls for a equivalent memorable embellishment and the Eiffel tower electronic cutting file (available at Lori Whitlock) is perfect for this occasion!

I used the 12x12 clouds paper for the page base and I played up this motif by cutting out additional clouds in white card stock and dry embossed them to add texture.

The chit chat speech bubbles are great way to embrace the sentiments on this page, there are so many in the package, you are sure to find something that will fit your theme. Thanks for dropping by the blog today, hope you have an awesome crafty day!

All heart from bow to toe

The quote 'Do what you love' rings so true as I scrapbook (doing what I love) some awesome memories of my grand-daughter's cheer routine (doing with she loves) at a recent competition.

My design inspiration began with the title 'all heart from bow to toe' and so incorporating hearts and bows became the plan!

I perused the awesome collection of the French Kiss cutting files (available at Lori Whitlock) and found the bows and chocolate treats files.  Why the chocolates? On one of the treats you can see the little heart and with a few easy clicks on my electronic cutting machine software I was able to make a heart outline in several sizes.

I used card stock and patterned paper combinations under the heart outlines and incorporated my journaling into the medium sized heart. I'm swooning over those patterned heart shaped sprinkles too.

In power cheer, wearing a bow a big element to the look and with team colours being yellow and black, the bright yellow bows really adds the pop!

Thanks for dropping by the blog, hope you can find time today to 'do what you love'!

Doodlebug - new French Kiss collection

Ooh la la, are you swooning over the French Kiss collection?  You know when you first lay eyes on some pretty pattern papers and it coordinates with your photos perfectly? What to do? You jump up and do the double happy dance with a few 'whoops' and fist pumps too!

My photos had the iconic Paris landmarks and I selected the same themed pattern papers (City of Love and French Kiss) for my page background.  I love that Doodlebug collections have a sprinkling of 'Birthday' ephemera which was perfect for my page.

Loving the little mini shape sprinkles, they add just the right amount of shine to the ephemera accents.  Hope you have fun creating with this adorable collection!
